General Education Committee
The committee is charged with the review and approval of all curriculum changes in General Education across the University, assessment of the program, establishing policy in relation to General Education, and disseminating General Education information to campus community.

The Faculty Senate established the University-wide General Education Committee (UWGEC) in December 1995. The committee is composed of representatives from:
There is also representation from the Foundations programs - English Composition, Mathematics, and Second Language. Each faculty member serves a three-year term.
In addition there is invited representation from areas directly involved in General Education: students, professional academic advisors, university library, transfer and articulation services, assessment, and enrollment management.
