Zawan Al Bulushi

Assistant Professor of Practice

I am an educator with a global touch. I have taught in the U.S. and abroad. I hold a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana University Bloomington where I taught first-year writing for four years.  At the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I taught academic and business writing at both undergrad and grad levels. Before teaching at college level, I was an English teacher in high schools for eight years in Oman and was a teaching coach in K-12 for another four years. My academic interests include reading recent research in teaching and learning and presenting at conferences. At a personal level, I like traveling, hiking, and listening to podcasts.
